My current body of work encompasses the concept of HOME.
The connotations are both personal and universal. The paintings evolve from my reflections on “home” as a sanctuary, a place of belonging and a deep centre within.
Employing metaphor the works refer to human relationships, dreams and desires, the notions of uncertainty, of solitude and inner harmony. From an awareness of the fragility of life I perceive home as a shelter for the soul. – MW 2016
